what is going on in my brain

When I am thinking of creating a mixed media piece I start with my inspiration, like a "Jean" Photo
example
Original Jean Photo
Then I put it into Photoshop and Painter and Digitally Paint it

Then I just go for it.  I start by collaging different papers and textures into the background, maybe some added texture with modeling paste.  then I paint, normally acrylic but I am not limited to that.  I like to spray or laquer them down with something.  Then add little 3 D elements like pearls ext.

Photo Transfer Blocks

This week I have been working on my process for the next 4 block prints I am working on this is how I developed the surface.
First I made a plan of what I would like to have on each wooden panel
Then I collaged the background of each panel
Here is a close up of one of the boards without paint just collage
Then I painted the boards to get them ready for photo transfer
close up board#1, going to be the old man and the sea print
Close up of board #2, The two little boys print
Close up of board #3- Little girl with her feet in the river
Close up of board #4- The woman in the Wheat Field

This Jean photo reminds me of my grandfather and inspired a chapter in the book.

Here are some more tests I did for the first image in the book, I wanted the figure to become even more abstracted.  I tried 4 more images.
I want to call this "the idea of delegating" All of the little fingers are pointing at each other going in a circle, you see the figure in the background.
Whenever you point at someone you have fingers pointing back at you, that is what my mom always said.  Abain you see the figure in the background.  I really focused on collaged elements and masks.
Not in love with the color on this one.  Same idea as above.  A little  more collage underneath.
Haven't added the hands to this one yet I just like the way it looks without them.  I should though.  I like the colors.
